My Botched Dye Attempt!

Hey lovelies! Remember how I said that I'm gonna try dying my hair over the weekend? Well, I did, and it turned out horribly (as you can probably tell by the pictures!). It was my first time dying my hair myself, I usually go to the salon to get it done. I took the after picture a few days after by the way.

I'm not sure what I did wrongly though, I really like how the model's hair looked in the box, which is why I bought it in the first place. The color didn't really come out. On top of that, my original hair color seems untouched.

I left the dye on for about 25mins, which is what it said on the box. Should I leave it longer or something? Or I should buy a blonde dye and hoping that it will turned out light brown instead? I've read somewhere that applying heat will brightened up the color. Will that do the trick?

Any advice you guys wanna share? :)

I think I should stick with the salon from now on...

aw its your first time dying your hair!!
if your targeting for ur regrowth u should do your roots first leave it there fore around 15mins
and then do your endss :)
and make sure u massage your head like ur doing your shampoo so its evenly spread out

  3. I think that's the issue with regular dye in drug stores with our asian hair, I have that problem now, so I use either blonde (like you have to go 3 shades lighter than the box if you want to use regular drugstore dye) or I buy the japanese hair color package, those have more bleech in them and can dye your hair more evenly...

  5. next time you apply the die. apply it to your roots at least 20 min before your roots and crown. Your roots and crown are hotter from body heat and it makes the die work faster than your hair ends.

    lovely colour though!
