Review: Revlon Custom Eyes

My mom just bought this Revlon Custom Eyes eyeshadow palette, its not bad, but not amazing either. According to my mom, it doesn't last long, and it smudges easily. But when I tried it, it lasted all day long. I think it's because I use primer and my mom doesn't. So I guess the moral of the story is... always prime your face and eyes!

I use MAC Strobe Cream to prime both my face and my eyes, it works wonders on my skin! I didn't use a separate eye primer to prime my eyes as I found that the Strobe Cream works amazingly for the eyes as well. I am however, looking for other primers to try. Any recommendation? I'm also interested in tinted primers, any recommendation for that as well?

Gray Contacts

I've gotten myself a pair of Gray lens from FreshLook. It had been about a year since I last wear contact lenses. I stop wearing them when I had a slight eye infection. After the infection cleared off, I was afraid to wear them again. But now, I decided to give them another shot. I'll definitely be more careful in cleaning and keeping my contacts. Don't want another eye infection to happen!

Sophie Monk Whitening 3D Double Lifting Mask from Watsons, first time using this, the packaging looked so cute so I couldn't resist.

Nexcare Acne Patch from Watsons, saw this a couple of times in the store and decided to give it a try. Was skeptical at first but it totally works! A great overnight solution for those stubborn pimples! And they're cheap too.

New Layout + FOTD

Guess what? I changed my layout! I feel like there's a lot of clutter going on in my previous layout, I wanted it to be more minimal. 

Spent the entire morning editing the html codes. I'm no tech expert so I struggled quite a bit to get the layout I wanted. There's still a few glitches here and there that I'm trying to figure out, especially at the homepage regarding the picture alignment. I would love to hear some advice from y'all to help improve these glitches and my overall blog look!

New In + Happy CNY!

Happy Chinese New Year everybody!!!

Yesterday, I bought a reddish brown blazer with leopard printed accents and a brown dress that comes with a skinny leopard printed belt to cinch the waist. I don't really wear animal prints that often, what I like about these two pieces is that the leopard prints are quite subtle without being overpowering.

I also bought a set of new skin care products by Aviance, from their oil-control range. Hopefully my skin will improve soon!

And in the spirits of Chinese New Year, I painted my nails red for the occasion!

I'm starting to dig this whole retro inspired hair and makeup.

BTW, I just bought a new phone, a Samsung Galaxy mini. I'm not a very tech-savvy person, which is why changing new phones is never a priority to me. I will only buy a new one when there's absolutely no other choice, which in this case, my previous phone broke and died. I guess I'm the kind of person that would rather spend money on clothes and accessories. lol

I Heart Tuesdays + T3 Concealer Review

It's official, I love Tuesdays!!! Mostly because I don't have any classes on Tuesdays, yay! I had a great time hanging out with a really close friend of mine yesterday that I hadn't seen in ages! Although our purpose was to go shopping together, we ended up talking most of the time, trying to catch up with each other's lives! Anyhoo, we went for lunch @ Fullhouse, I had the pan-seared dory fish and my friend Violet had the Al-Funghi pasta. We also had desserts but we were too excited to eat them that I completely forgot to take pictures of them!

I didn't buy much, only a few beauty supplies.

I saw this T3 concealer at Guardian and decided to give it a try. It supposed to treat and conceal blemishes at the same time. In terms of the texture, I really like it because its very lightweight and the consistencies reminded me of tinted moisturizers. Its not too drying for the skin as well. However, it does not conceal much though, only slightly. The color is very neutral and will suit most skin tones. I wanted to show you some swatches of how the color looks like, but my camera kinda sucked at taking close-up shots, sorry!

Face, Nails, and New Jewelry

Hey lovelies! I'm really digging colored eyeliner lately rather than using the usual black. Here, I'm using blue pencil eyeliner. *sorry for the unclear photos, my camera does not take good close-up shots!*

As for my nails, black and gold this time around!

Mini haul: I bought a green pendant necklace from Diva that comes with a pair of matching earrings. I also bought a bottle of nail polish from Elianto in the color Egg Shell.

Third Times The Charm!

Went shopping for the third time this month, I'm getting broke. Anywhoo, check out what I got this time around!

1. I love this sunset bronze color with the zipper detail at the front! Got this from Asian Avenue @ Sunway Pyramid.

2. Gotten myself a sheer oversize cropped sweater from F21.

3. I bought this eyeshadow palette from Watson. I never tried IN2IT before, I decided to give it a try since the price is really affordable. And guess what? It's totally worth it! I tried this eyeshadow when I went dancing, and it didn't even smudge all night! Plus, I sorta fell asleep with my makeup on that night, and I woke up to find that the eyeshadows are still intact. LOL!

I've been experimenting with different color pattern for my half-moon manicures. The color that I chose for the past week was black with red and pink base. Come fourth of July, Imma do it in red, white and blue!

Of course, half-moon mani would not be possible without these babies, Reinforcement Holes!
